 A thought, not sure if there's much merit. But I was wondering if it would
 be helpful for dev-note creation to have a field in Trac similar to the
 description which allowed users to collaborate on a dev-note during the
 work on their ticket.
 In many cases work on a ticket ends days/weeks/months before it's
 committed. Writing a dev-note is much easier when the task is fresh in
 mind. If there's a field on the ticket to write your note big or small,
 when it's finally committed that note is then available for
 review/finalization and can then be pushed either into the field guide or
 if it's larger into a dedicated make post.
 Similar to the description field any modification to the field would
 generate a diff and notice about the change so all parties are aware of
 changes.
