 What about starting with a new link on the development tab (or on the
 advanced view page) with whitelisting for Github/Bitbucket/Gitlab like
 already suggested?

 Or maybe we can allow this only for repos from the linked Github account
 in the profile? If this is possible?

 I think the need/wish for a link to the development place is totally fine.
