 Along with the placements @tobifjellner mentioned, I wonder if providing
 the references on the Theme and Plugin localized directories would assist
 users in picking plugins/themes that are already translated in their
 language.

 Placing the stats there would help users choose themes/plugins that are
 already translated in their locale.
