 Requiring users to log in to click on the links (or to see them, or to
 transform a [log in to view] type message] is a UX anti-pattern - it takes
 our spam problem and turns it into our users' UX problem. That's bad
 practice.

 That said, it'd be a lot less-bad than other approaches.
