 For what it's worth, knowing of a time when this happened to a speaker
 (where the organisers 'never received' a speaker submission) I went and
 looked in their `Feedback` section and indeed found the original
 submissions and the resubmitted ones a month later.

 I suspect in those cases, even if an auto-email was sent to the speaker
 saying "Yep, we got it!" the email may not have actually made it to the
 camp's inbox, or been filtered out on it's way there.
