#3648: The "Advanced" tab is being indexed and showing up on SERPs

     Type: defect | Status: new

Component: Plugin Directory | Keywords: needs-patch

Performing a search on Google for `wordpress "debug media"`
 ([https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=wordpress+%22debug+media%22 link])
returns two results for wordpress.org in first and second place. The first
is the link to the plugin, the second is the link to the Advanced tab of
the plugin. This makes the search results confusing - it looks like there
 are two identical plugins available.

Ideally the Advanced tab would not be indexed, or it would contain a
canonical header pointing to the main plugin page so that it doesn't
 appear in SERPs.
