 As someone who has been in the "fix it" role for both WordPress.org and
 premium support issues, I can say unequivocally that it is more difficult
 to help users on WordPress.org because of the lack of information
 provided. This isn't about developers wanting to scare users off or reduce
 the number of support requests; it's about having the information
 necessary to actually help the people that do need support.

 Answering three simple questions that would improve any support request
 seems like a reasonable request. The folks who know to provide that
 information already won't be bothered, and those who don't know how to
 request support will get the guidance they need.
