Comment:

 Every now and then, some DB lag makes the bbPress checks not run reliably
 and we do get duplicates.

 It's not often, but occasionally it happens, [attachment:"1964.patch"]
 disabled the submit button on form submission, this prevents clicking it
 again if things are going slow, and is more indicative to the user that
 their actions are being processed.
