 Hi 0xcrypto, welcome to Meta trac.

 It's true, that can happen. P2 offers two remedies for that, a "Hide
 comment threads" toggle at the top of each page to hide comments on all
 posts, and a "Hide comments" toggle at the bottom of each post to hide
 comments on that specific post.
 Rather than truncating all comments for everyone, how about you try
 working with those to manage long comment threads?
