 We discussed this in today's bug scrub, and it sounds like it'd probably
 be better to just fix the bug here, rather than replacing it with a npm
 module. Adding extra modules means that we have to maintain them,
 including checking for security updates. There are some automated
 solutions like nodesecurity.io, but that could be overkill for something
 small like this.
