 When searching for a plugin in WordPress, the plugin author name and URL
 appears to be the user who originally submitted the plugin, not the Author
 and Author URI from the plugin header as it was until new plugin repo was
 deployed.

 This is a major problem as end users may be sent to a website for someone
 who isn't the author of the plugin.

 For example with Caldera Forms, it now shows the author name, with a link
 to their site, of the original developer, who is no longer associated with
 the project. Clearly, users would be better served by a link to the
 current author's website.
