 Right now we're using the
 [https://make.wordpress.org/design/handbook/foundations/colors/ WP blue]
 for the links. I tried adding the Medium Blue as the visited color and it
 looks something like this:

 Top two links are "visited" while the bottom two are default.

 Contrasted with the footer links which still use an older blue.
