Comment:

 Thank you for the bug report, @jorbin, and my apologies that you are
 unable to browse happily at this point in time.

 Similar to the classic P2 theme, there's a link at the top of the post
 list - "Hide comment threads". Clicking, tapping, or otherwise activating
 this link will close all comment threads. Of course, this will be saved
 across page loads.

 Do you feel that there's a usability issue here? While it's very similar
 to the previous option, we can take this opportunity to make this option
 more easily findable.
