Comment:

 Refreshed to replace `'draft'` plugin status with `'new'` after [5318].

 @coffee2code The patch uses `switch_to_blog()` and `WP_Query` to query
 plugin or theme versions from the respective directories. The `support-
 forums` plugin uses direct queries for a similar purpose (to query plugin
 author and contributors). Is that due to the overhead of `WP_Query`? What
 would be the preferred way here?
