 I too would really like to have this feature back. If not for all older
 versions then at least for a few.

 What if the updated version has a soft bug for your specific use case in
 it, for which the author either has no time or is unwilling to immediately
 push out a new update?

 Hate to be that guy but if we are foregoing usability to encourage users
 to be on the latest software version, why the hell are we still supporting
 PHP 5.2? #33381
