 [attachment:meta-1853.patch] works in my testing, but it performs an
 additional SQL query, as there's currently no way in GlotPress to
 customize translations before saving. I've opened a
 [https://github.com/GlotPress/GlotPress-WP/issues/517 PR to introduce a
 filter for that].
