Comment:

 We've discussed this quite a bit, both the meta team and the polyglots
 team, and it's not something we're going to do at this time. That said,
 the polyglots team is [https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/2016/05/27
 /cross-locale-pte-trial/ planning a trial for a new role] that resolves
 some of the issues brought up in this ticket.
