Migrated from https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/30842
----
Not sure if this is the right place...
The about / Requirements page:
https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/
advises to use the SuPHP module to manage the ownership in PHP/WordPress.
It should advise in general on a PHP handler that supports that
functionality, and then list a few options:
- mod_ruid2: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mod-ruid/ is an Apache module
that is similar to the unmaintained SuPHP
- mpm-itk: http://mpm-itk.sesse.net/ Is an Apache module as well
- FastCGI: http://www.fastcgi.com/drupal/node/2
- PHP-FPM: http://php-fpm.org/download/ an alternative FastCGI, that is
part of PHP Core
