 The w.org site redirecting to wordpress.org is kind of a happy accident,
 it is not necessarily intended as such.

 The w.org domain is actually used for our assorted CDNs. It's not really
 intended to be a redirect-all-the-things domain. Adding additional
 subdomains to it is probably outside of the intended scope, and perhaps a
 pain for maintenance.

 Systems would have to be consulted as to whether this is possible with the
 current configuration. I'm guessing the answer here is "not at this time".
