 Your suggestion is absolutely necessary and the right first step in my
 opionion.

 From my personal wishlist:
 - A filter (feature filter) or even better a direkt link which lists all
 child themes (browsing)
 - When on a parent theme (i.e. Twenty Fifteen), list all available child
 themes for it below or in a sidebar -- or at least with a deep link to
 such a listing

 Bonus: When on a single child theme view (in the browser) list other child
 themes for the same parent theme or at least a deep link to such a
 listing.

 This would be a dream come true!
 In my opinion there are more child themes "hidden" in the repo than are
 "findable"...!?
