 You're only referring to the list of early-planning camps in the sidebar
 of [http://central.wordcamp.org/schedule/ the schedule page], right? Not
 the list of approved camps in the main content area?

 I agree that sorting alphabetically helps in the scenario where you're
 looking for a camp nearby, but you'd still have to scan through a list of
 20-50 items (because there may be one in a nearby town rather than your
 exact town), which sucks no matter what.

 I think a better solution would be to display a map on top of the list, so
 that people who want to find something in their region can quickly zoom
 in, and people who want to see all camps in an agenda format can use the
 list (maybe they're traveling and want to see what's coming up in the next
 month).

 @mj12982 put together some mockups to refresh the Central theme, and
 [https://cloudup.com/inAlMuPRVlK the one for the About page] includes a
 map that shows all past/upcoming camps. We've talked about also putting
 that on the Schedule page, but having it be upcoming/pending camps
 instead.

 What do you think of that solution?
