 We cannot delete it, as @shioban would be sad.

 We need to lock it to read-only, so no one can make any new posts. Would
 changing it into a Category work?

 There used to be a plugin by _ck_ called 'Hidden Forums' which I think
 would work, but @jjj removed/hid all the old plugins.
