 The Get Involved link in the global nav goes to http://make.wordpress.org

 [http://core.trac.wordpress.org/#Contributing Core Trac] points to a
 number of resources including a
 [http://codex.wordpress.org/Contributing_to_WordPress Codex page on
 contributing].

 The [http://make.wordpress.org/core/handbook/ Core Handbook] has some
 example of how to contribute (mostly geared towards code).

 I don't think it's clear (UX) how people can figure out how to 'get
 involved'.
