You were spurned by Stack Exchange because you’re using it incorrectly. It is not place for philosophy or “political” debates.  It’s a place to ask a question to which somebody might actually response with a solidly correct answer.  More “how do I do X?” and not “I think we need to convince people that I’m morally right about X”

As for WordPress, yes I think they should definitely pay attention to usability issues in the flagship themes.
