[wp-hackers] Help to getting started

Hi,
I am Chinmay Naik and i have recently come across the WordPress
organisation and the ideas page [1] from Google Summer Of Code org list.

I have previously participated in GSOC-2013 [2] and have written a python
bot[3] to upload gene items on Wikidata. I consider myself good in
programming languages such as C,C++,Java, JavaScript,PHP,HTML,Python.

I wish to contribute to WordPress and get involved. From the Gsoc 2013
ideas list, are there any worth considering? I am trying to start to get
familiar with the codebase and try picking some starter bugs. Any pointers
regarding this would be helpful.
