No. The slug is the method by which the query works. Since the slug
normally comes from the search query and not from the directory name,
then that's how that works.
The directory name is reliable enough for most needs, since plugin
installs are built-in to WordPress. There are virtually no users
manually installing plugins and using their own directory names as
well.
