[wp-hackers] Image Permalinks (GSOC Project)

The parent post's taxonomies can't be used for image URL rewriting: What
happens when the original post is deleted? What happens when an image is
inserted in more than one post? What happens when that category is deleted?

This would imply that we add a category taxonomy for images, or at least a
custom field for the permalink.

PS: On a multisite installation, image URLs are already rewritten (see the
blogs.dir thingy)
