Rick,
In addition to the Codex, there are two very good books that dig into
WordPress internals:
Professional WordPress Design and Development:
http://www.amazon.com/Professional-WordPress-Wrox-Programmer/dp/0470560541/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1311784364&sr=8-1
Professional WordPress Plugin Development:
http://www.amazon.com/Professional-WordPress-Plugin-Development-Williams/dp/0470916222/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1311784364&sr=8-3
All the best,
will

Subject: [wp-hackers] I'm interested in a good book
I need an advanced book on Wordpress that explains the database and
hopefully has a lot of examples. I am not very good with PHP and as I
understand the wpdb class has numerous functions that are unique to the
class.
I need a good review of how to send data from a form to a new form and
capture it all in a database. I have been told that the gravity plugin
handles this very well. Anyone else here have dealings with the gravity
plugin?
Thanks Rick Maltese
