[wp-hackers] Sending a Proposal

Hi,

I want to contribute to WordPress during GSoC 2011 if I can manage to get
selected. I have a few questions:

*1) *As we should to contribute to WP in some way before the proposal, I'm
writing a plugin for WP right now. Does it matter how complex the plugin I'm
writing is?
*2) *Should I send my proposal drafts to this mail list, or directly to the
GSoC site?
*3) *Should I use the template given by the WP team for the draft?
