Just be sure to use the [basedir] instead of the [path] as the latter will append the year and month if it's configured

[path] => C:\path\to\wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/05 
[basedir] => C:\path\to\wordpress/wp-content/uploads 

That's messed me up more than once :)
