Sorry if it seemed as if I was complaining - that wasn't the intention.
I was looking for opinions
Correcting the information in the Codex would be easy if I actually knew
what it was supposed to say. This is a vicious circle - I don't know how
it works so I can't find the right explanation for how it works.
If that makes sense of course...

Instead of complaining that it's not good enough, why don't you help out
by
submitting patches, correcting the information in the Codex etc. ?
If you want something to happen faster in an open source project, like
WordPress, your best bet is to get your own hands dirty.
