the best is to download the two plugins i am speaking of here :

so the test case si th e following :

Activate plugins mailpress and mailpress_roles_and_capabilities.

Go to Settings > MailPress settings > R&C and allow say :  editor to access
MailPress settings.

then login with an editor profile, and you will see the setting menu with a
submenu MailPress settings

Click on the submenu link and you get : You do not have sufficient
permissions to access this page.
