[wp-hackers] comment_author and HTML entities?

Hello,

(This is my first post here, so please be gentle :-)  )

I'm working on an in-house forked version of Wordpress MU.

My question involves the "comments" table.  (Typically named something like
"wp_abc_comments".)

Within that table there is a field named "comment_author".

I've found that values in this table are in "HTML escaped" format.

So... "&" appears as "&", etc.

My question is... is this who it is suppose to be?

(Or have I discovered a bug?)
