Hey guys,
Just thought I'd drop a mention here on wp-hackers regarding the Sandbox
Designs Competition, help get the word out.
Basically this is a CSS design competition much like the one held by Alex
King in February of 2004, http://alexking.org/projects/wordpress/styles/,
except this once uses the Sandbox theme instead of 'Classic.
Anyhow, I've hopefully provided a comp that gives the participants and
judges plenty of highlighting, re:

Currently the first place winner receives US$500 (not bad for a CSS and
image-only design). We have a total pool of US$1000. I figured that I've had
people donating after downloading my themes and all that kind of stuff. Matt
chipped in too. So if you know anyone else who'd be interested in
sponsoring, that'd be great.
Also, this'd be a really good place to mention that we're looking for judges
as well. If you're interested, just let me know. You get a neat-o bio bit on
the comp page (see link above).
So what really makes this comp kind of exciting and different is that it'll
be benefiting both the wp.org and wp.com folks. That's one of the big
benefits of doing a CSS designs comp instead of another themes comp (not to
mention the last two theme competitions failed, for varying reasons, so
maybe it was time to try something different).
And so on and so forth.
Here are just a few details:
