Sorry for the late reply, I've updated the download script to support 
specific versions. This should work for every named release since 2.0.4. 
Example download:

http://wordpress.org/latest-2.0.4.zip

latest-VERSION.type

Example MD5:

http://wordpress.org/md5-2.0.4

md5-VERSION
