I use my web host's spam filtering, and I get zero spam through this list.

I gave up on obfuscation and security via obscurity -- I receive around 1600
spam *daily* to this address which post literally everywhere.
Solution: hosted gmail which filters out all but one or two spam per day.
Quite impressive.
(though Gmail _does_ have false positives, I wouldn't know since I never go
into the spam folder to check)

Subject: [wp-hackers] Spam to addresses on the list
G'day,
I use individual email addresses for each mailing list I'm on. I'm
starting to get a fair bit of spam (700 in a week) to the address for
this list. Is there anything the list admins can do to improve the
situation?
I'm guessing the standard obfuscation on list archive is probably not
sufficient to keep a smart harvester at bay. Stripping characters from
emails would probably work better, or something like that.
I don't have a lot of time now, just wanted to float the idea.
Cheers - Callum.
