I am not sure WP.com users have the availability of plugins for coppa

I am going through the expense of having documents prepared for my own
business. The wordpress database files have names attached to email
addresses.
Most wordpress users have some form of tracking.
Wordpress.com has tracking

As to jurisdiction, obviously that is a point

Then again, I live in Poland, run my business from the UK, and am still
preparing documents and business practices suitable for the US market,
because I have US customers and US hosting.

I know some very experienced email marketers who had major cash producing
websites shut down simply because one of his affiliates sent a spam email
that included an affiliate ID linking to his site.

What would happen if:-

1. A kid subscribes to comments
2. Spam protection was down for a bit
3. Someone sent lots of porn spam to your blog
4. The porn spam was sent from your domain to the kid

If there is no way to provide it, fair enough.

I am going to have protection either way
