PHP won't, can't, and has no reason to, die.

It's an easy but very powerful language. Just like C++ without all that the
hard stuff, and even with the hard stuff C++ will never die.

PHP built server-side as we know it, and it's here to stay. I personally
don't like PHP, but that's just the technical points of it - PHP will
continue to evolve so long as people use it, and people will use it if it
evolves - so we're here for a loooooong time.
