Isn't it more annoying to the users who have not yet upgraded?
There are already known problems, but not a fixed release, just
because "it would be too soon"?
Personally I'd appreciate being able to upgrade directly from 2.0.2 to
2.0.4 (or whatever release that has been there for a while without
any bugs), without having to wait.
Numbers (in the version) are cheap. (Preparing the zip and tar.gz
files is not so cheap, but that wasn't cited as the reason...)
