I disagree. Feeds are terrible from a user's point of view at the
moment. As things stands, we have a 'protocol not supported message'
-- not the friendliest thing we could tell a user. Taking feed:/ away
would leave just a plain XML file, again, not particularily friendly.
Using XSL is really the only solution around this usability hole.

As for your worries about duping the website, I'd first say that these
concerns are secondary to that of the usability hole. Secondly, I'd be
tempted to say 'who cares'? They're still reading your words. Hell,
they're even using less bandwidth by reading the cut-down version. As
long as we provide enough linkage to the main site so 1) people don't
get confused about the two versions and 2) people can appreciate your
graphical masterpiece if they so wish, then I really don't see what
the problem is.
