I do.. that is to say, I have done so in the past. Because when I
visit the comment listing page to reply comments, I occasionally need
to hastily put in a correction or an update to the parent post.

Having said that, I wouldn't be too fussed if the "edit post" link
disappeared. There's an alternative means of editing the post, so if
it reduces clutter ...
