Yes! I agree FORKING is the last option and should almost never be done 
without discussion - but on the other hand I do not like wasting time on 
endless discussion from people which theorize but never show me a better 
piece of code OR worse when asked for the code say you code it :(

Like many on this thread my reaction was also a hangover from something 
similar in another project of mine.

BTW Matt I like Committing != Privileges
