 as this is probably a better place to handle this issue right now.

 Basically the importer tried to avoid reimporting of posts by checking
 their title, I assume there is better tracking now which make this kind of
 test pointlesss, but at the very least the "error" message should indicate
 what post type it is, and if it is in the trash, or maybe give a link to
 edit it.

 IMO The real problem that should be avoided is dulicate slugs, as long as
 slugs are different there should not be any problem with having content
 with the same title.
