I'm not saying anything there.
On a "retrograde rockets firing maneuver":
What I REALLY want to have happen.... before ANYONE can post a new topic....
First: the first and only thing anyone sees when they hit the support front
page is a search box. The only thing a person can do to begin with is enter a
search term. Period.
Once they've searched for something (and anyone who's got a topic number can
just search for that to shortcircuit the process of course), and got some
results, they get sent to the forums main page. HOWEVER....
Second: before they can start a new topic, they get sent to a READ THIS page.
Upon which they have to spend a full minute (so they might as well READ
SOMETHING while they're there! LIKE THE HUGE PINK STICKY!) They have to scroll
down (a LOOOOOOONGGGGGG way) to find a box to check which agrees they have read
the page, the fine print, etc.
THEN AND ONLY THEN they get to access the topic entry box. And go back to the
main page....
*sigh* Yeah, I know it's not viable.
