Among others because if I post today to the list offering a service...
and somebody will subscribe to the list in next September - you cannot
expect they will go and read the whole Archives of the list to see
what was "offered" earlier.
So, it works only as a 'one-way' street: help seekers posting to it
and then list members replying in private. But posting an offer as
quite useless.
