[theme-reviewers] Is it necessary to use Core Bundled Masonry?

Although, I have submitted a ticket to update Masonry on Trac. But, I do realize that the update would considerably affect the themes/plugins which are using Core's Masonry v2.

Some sort of Backward Compatibility must be provided with the update.
