[theme-reviewers] WordPress Themes Download Statistics Counter

Hi Guys,

Quick question...

In regards to the WordPress Theme download stats counter that is associated
with each theme..

When a new theme update is released and all the existing users update their
install do those count as a download on the counter? (or are those ignored
because its just an existing installation updating)?
