[theme-reviewers] Hidden IP field in theme contact form

How is this any different than hundreds of plugins that capture someone's
IP (including Akismet) without the website visitor's knowledge?

Seems to me there would only be two logical arguments:

1. This isn't allowed *in themes* because it's plugin territory, period.

OR

2. Look into the purpose, is this an anti-spam measure or is there no
logical explanation that even the author can provide for this?

Finally, I think privacy and security and transparency are very important,
but is it our place to dictate such things? Isn't it the responsibility of
the website owners to provide Privacy Policies and so forth?
