Yes you’re correct about the license.

 

Just wanted to confirm, as myself I do not like losing data after changing theme, and this gives the end user a better way to manage images and even if the theme is changed, the images associated with a post still remain.

IT appears to be MIT licensed which is GPL-compatible; that, and with proper attribution for the code I am not seeing any immediate reason for this not to be usable.

I am preparing my premium theme for general release in the REPO. I currently use this script https://github.com/DaanVos/gallery-metabox to Gallery Post format to be able to show a slider. I tried plugins and other tricks to use Gallery shortcode but it never worked properly. The above script is more visual and easier to use even for someone new.

 

Can I keep it in my theme or do I need to remove it?
