Perhaps not especially surprising. When the lead time for review activity
was 4-8 weeks from time of submission, the process essentially inured Theme
developers to a lack of in-ticket activity for weeks after submission.

I think one of the biggest benefits of keeping the queue manageable is that
it will make it easier again to distinguish between Theme developers who
just throw something up against the wall to see if it sticks, and Theme
developers who are trying to pass the guidelines and are more than willing
to communicate in-ticket and to work with a reviewer to bring their Themes
up to standards.

With our efforts over the past couple weeks, I'm seeing more and more
first-time Theme approvals - and nothing has made me happier than seeing
the amount of back-and-forth in tickets, as reviewers and developers work
together to get Themes through the process. It's such an amazing paradigm
shift to see reviewers expressing thanks instead of frustration when
tickets are finally closed.
